Professor Derek Atkins has 30 years experience in the insurance industry. He
is Chairman of the Board Risk Committee for Trust Re, was formerly UK
Strategy Director for Royal and Sun Alliance and is a partner in Reputability.
Derek teaches risk management, reputational risk and insurance on the Cass
Business School MSc course, and leads strategy workshops and training for
executives. He has co-authored many books on risk management and insurance
including 'Reputational Risk: A Question of Trust'.
Derek has been a member of two UK government working groups on risk related
issues and is a recipient of the Exceptional Service Medal of the Chartered
Insurance Institute for his contribution to the insurance industry.
